About Me
Hi, I’m Kirin!
I currently work as a Senior UX Research Consultant at Capco, a global financial management consultancy, where I help financial services clients create innovative, research-vetted digital solutions that address their business goals while representing the customers’ needs.
Prior to my career at Capco, I graduated from the George Washington University where I studied Finance, Psychology, and Music.
I currently reside in New York City, where you can usually find me frolicking around my favorite neighborhoods of Manhattan & Brooklyn, playing a show with my band, attending concerts, or eating some good hot sauce with a side of a nice meal.
A FEW THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ME —
I’M A GOOD LISTENER
Yes, my friends call me their therapist. I love to lend an ear and help them get to the root of their own problem by simply asking open-ended questions.
I am passionate about empowering people to tell their stories, making them feel heard, and learning from what they have to say. I love to ask open-ended questions and understand the why behind people’s experiences, whether it’s my friends, colleagues, clients, or customers.
I LOVE CREATING ORDER OUT OF CHAOS
Yes, I Marie Kondo’d my apartment before it was cool.
My favorite part of the UX Research process is the synthesis, where I am able to parse through seemingly overwhelming amounts of data and make sense of it. I’m a detail-oriented person so I love diving into the minutiae and organizing the data into patterns and themes that eventually become insights and recommendations for my client.
I’M A COLLABORATIVE TEAM PLAYER
Yes, I may have warmed the bench on my middle school basketball team, but I was always there cheering on each player’s efforts and achievements.
I love team environments and collaborating with my colleagues and clients to achieve common goals. Proactive and effective communication, adaptability and flexibility, and having an encouraging and helpful attitude are all important traits that come naturally to me and are what I look for in my teammates as well.
